We are delighted to welcome you to the 2026–2027 school year and hope you have enjoyed a wonderful summer holiday.

To help you prepare for your child’s return to school, please find below important information regarding APEEE Extracurricular Activities and Supervision services.

At a glance – What you need to know about APEEE Extracurricular Activities & Supervision

For the start of the 2026–2027 school year:

  • Supervision starts on Thursday 3 September 2026.
  • Extracurricular Activities start on Monday 21 September 2026.
  • Supervision linked to an Extracurricular Activity starts only as of 21 September 2026.
  • From 3 to 17 September inclusive, only regular supervision not linked to an activity will be available.
  • If you require Supervision between 3 and 17 September, you can register your child for occasional supervision via this link.
  • Occasional supervision at the Woluwe site for nursery and primary children can be booked if your child has a registered activity in Woluwe and on the day of that activity. For example, if your child has an activity on Tuesday, occasional supervision in Woluwe can be booked on Tuesdays only; if they have activities on both Tuesday and Thursday, occasional supervision can be booked on either of those days.
  • For any other cases, occasional supervision will only take place at your child’s school site: Evere for Nursery and Primary pupils and Woluwe for Secondary pupils
  • For pupils in Nursery, Primary, S1 and S2, please check the details of the people authorised to collect your child APEEE Secured Zone, or whether if your child is authorised to leave school independently by informing periscolaire@woluweparents.org or eve-periscolaire@evereparents.org
  • Anyone collecting a child from the school site must comply with the school’s new access policy and hold the required access badge.

Supervision and Extracurricular Activities – Starting dates

It is important to distinguish between the start of Supervision and the start of Extracurricular Activities.

From 3 to 17 September 2026 inclusive

As Extracurricular Activities will not yet have started, only APEEE Supervision and occasional supervision will be available

If you require Supervision during this period, you can register your child for Occasional Supervision directly through : Request for occasional supervision between 3 and 18 September 2026

Please note that occasional supervision at the Woluwe site for nursery and primary children can be booked if your child has a registered activity in Woluwe and on the day of that activity. For example, if your child has an activity on Tuesday, occasional supervision in Woluwe can be booked on Tuesdays only; if they have activities on both Tuesday and Thursday, occasional supervision can be booked on either of those days.

For any other cases, occasional supervision will take place at the site where your child attends school:

  • Evere for Nursery and Primary pupils;
  • Woluwe for Secondary pupils.

If your nursery/primary child needs to take the 15.30 Evere bus to Woluwe for a parent pick-up, please note that a separate Transport registration is required. You can find the registration procedure and further information on our website.

From 21 September 2026

Extracurricular Activities will start on Monday 21 September.

From this date, supervision linked to Extracurricular Activities will also begin.

The APEEE offers several supervision options to meet the different needs of families. We invite you to consult the full details of our Supervision services on our website.

Please also inform your child’s teacher

Although we inform teachers when their pupils are registered for our services, we kindly ask parents to also inform their child’s teacher via the school diary.

This is particularly important at the beginning of the school year to help ensure that children are directed to the correct service after lessons.

Collecting your child and authorisation to leave

Nursery, Primary, S1 and S2 pupils

For children in Nursery, Primary, S1 or S2, please make sure that the relevant collection arrangements are correctly recorded in your APEEE Secured Zone.

Please indicate:

Only authorised persons will be permitted to collect your child.

If your child is in Nursery

From 16:30 onwards, authorised persons may enter the Primary building to collect the child directly from the Supervision room.

Before 16:30, children must be collected from the entrance area. The person collecting the child must hold the access badge required by the school.**

If your child is in Primary, S1 or S2

Children must be collected from the designated collection area. The person collecting the child must hold the access badge required by the school.**

If your child is in S3 or above

Pupils in S3 and above may leave the school premises independently after informing a member of the APEEE Supervision team that they are leaving.

If your child is registered for Afterschool Childcare Services – European Commission Childcare

After their Extracurricular Activity, your child will be escorted back to Afterschool Childcare Services of the OIB by our staff.

Parents must then collect their child directly from Afterschool Childcare Services.

**Access badge – Collecting children from the school site

For access control and security reasons, only authorised persons registered with the European Commission childcare service or APEEE services will be permitted to enter the school premises to collect a child. These persons will need to order a photo access badge.

Please note that access badges do not provide the same access to both school sites:

  • an Evere badge provides access to both the Evere and Woluwe sites;
  • a Woluwe badge provides access to the Woluwe site only and cannot be used to access Evere.

Families who already have a Woluwe badge

Families who currently have a Woluwe access badge and whose children will attend Evere from the 2026–2027 school year must exchange their existing badge, as it will not provide access to the Evere site. The exchange is free of charge.

Parents concerned should complete the following form. Please note that a separate request must be submitted for each badge to be exchangedCHANGE BADGE WOLUWE TO EVERE – SEPTEMBER 2026

IMPORTANT: If you have already submitted a badge exchange request using this form following the OIB communication, you do not need to submit another request.

We recommend arranging your badge in advance if you or another authorised person will regularly collect your child after Supervision or an Extracurricular Activity.
