Prices 2024-2025

All parents received a message regarding the price increase for the APEEE services.

• Nursery: €6,68 per meal 
• Primary: €7,62 per meal 
• Secondary: €8,03 per meal 

The price you pay covers the following costs: ingredients, cost of table service (previously covered by the Commission), operating costs (APEEE payroll, including industrial injuries insurance).

The Canteen Service Group reserves the right to adjust the subscription rates and meal ticket prices anytime.

Meal ticket and subscription

Subscription

We offer subscriptions of 3, 4 or 5 (fixed) days per week. to be specified on the registration form.
If you subscribe for meals 3 days a week, only the food cost (1€ for nursery – 1.80€ for primary – 2.85€ for secondary) will be deducted from the bill, so you will still be billed for the fixed costs.

Tickets

Meal tickets, to be used on Wednesdays only, are available at the canteen office for € 8.

Invoicing

There are three school terms:

• from September to the Christmas holidays
• from January to the Easter holidays
• from Easter to July

You will receive an invoice each term. Please do not pay until you have received the invoice.
The subscription covers meals for the whole school year, however:

• 1€ for nursery – 1.80€ for primary – 2.85€ for secondary (*) will be deducted automatically from the bill for each meal missed because of school trips (farm, seaside, winter sports, and second-year and sixth-year secondary).
• 1€ for nursery – 1.80€ for primary – 2.85€ for secondary (*) will be deducted automatically from the bill for each meal missed during the 5th-, 6th– and 7th-year secondary intermediate exams. If pupils wish to take a school meal during these exam periods, they can buy a ticket upon the show of the student card.
• At the school year’s end, the subscription ends on the first day of exams.

(*): Amount representing the food cost.

Payment

Invoices

Our bills are sent out at the beginning of each term and payable by the stated date.
Payment method:

• By bank transfer: you must use the structured communication on the transfer form.

Reimbursement

The canteen only reimburses the uneaten meals of pupils who have left the school during the trimester.

There is no reimbursement in case of illness or absence of the pupil. In the case of hospitalisation only, the Canteen Office will reimburse a flat rate of the current food cost per meal not consumed, starting from two consecutive weeks of absence.

Social Fund

Parents facing severe financial difficulties may apply to the Social Fund of the Parents Association for a price reduction by completing the application form from the canteen office.

The application must be submitted before the term or school year starts, and a new application must be made each year. If the application is not accepted, meals will be billed at the usual rate.

The information on the form will remain confidential and not be divulged by the Social Fund.

Non-payment of subscription

In cases of non-payment the APEEE reserves the right to suspend services. Subject to the reasoned decision of the budget working group that shall be sent to the parents, the APEEE reserves the right to suspend a child from the canteen service if the corresponding invoice is not paid within the time limit.

If there is no response to our second and final reminder, we will hand over the debtor’s file to our collection agency who will take charge of recovering the sums due. As a last resort, we will request the services of our lawyer.

Canteen service without a valid subscription or ticket on Wednesdays

Access to the refectory is reserved for pupils with a lunch subscription (or in possession of a meal ticket on Wednesdays only), with no exceptions. The school provides a separate room for students who bring a packed lunch. Any pupil without a valid subscription or ticket will get a penalty fee of:

• 1st offence: warning
• 2nd offence: price of the ticket
• 3rd offence: ticket price multiplied by 3
• Subsequent offences: ticket price multiplied by 6

It is understood that the pupil will still not get access to the canteen service.
Checks are made regularly.
