As shared yesterday, electricity shortages remain unstable, and no reliable solution has yet been found by the school to ensure the proper functioning of our Woluwe kitchen equipment.
Unfortunately, due to these unforeseen circumstances, the APEEE must close the canteen, cafeteria, and teachers’ canteen on Monday 15th and Tuesday 16th September 2025.
➡️ We kindly ask families to provide their child with a packed lunch on these two days.
For the pupils registered to the afterschool childcare garderie of the European Commission, the snack will be provided and there are no changes to the afternoon snacks’ menu.
Please note that the food cost of those day will be deducted from the first trimester invoice.
Thanks to the dedicated work and solution-oriented approach of the APEEE canteen team, a temporary solution has been implemented to ensure warm meals will be delivered despite the challenges caused by the electricity shortages.
We are pleased to inform you that the canteen, cafeteria and teachers’ canteen will reopen from Wednesday 17th September 2025.
Please also note that, due to the electricity situation, menu adjustments will be communicated Monday and may occur in the coming week to avoid food waste and adapt to the conditions. Any changes to menus or allergens will be published on our website and communicated directly to parents.
So far, no assessment has been provided by the school regarding how long the situation may last. We will keep you informed of further developments on the situation.
We understand the inconvenience this may cause and sincerely apologise for any disruption to your child’s meal arrangement. We thank you in advance for your understanding and patience. We will keep you informed of further developments on the situation.
We sincerely thank families for their patience and understanding.
