This article is intended for S6 parents & pupils.

As shared by Mrs Denise BAINES, UK University Applications Advisor for EEB2, the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) application for 2025 has opened (May 14th 2025).

If you are interested, you are highly encouraged to already start your application now. Please find below the procedure.

1. If you are not on the WOL UCAS 2025 TEAM, message Mrs BAINES asking to be added : bainesde@teacher.eursc.eu 
2. Go to the Class Notebook – Content Library – Procedures 2025, and read the Application Guide carefully! Download the UCAS declaration 2025, sign it and upload it to your personal ‘contract and payment’ space in the notebook.
3. For parents: You can go ahead and pay 260€ into the school ING account and put UCAS + the student’s name in the communication. You will get a confirmation invoice from the school. Contact Mrs BAINES if you need the account number. If you prefer, you can request that the school sends you an invoice first, but this may not be immediate.
4. For students: Please get a proof of payment from your parent and upload it to the same page as the declaration (contract and payment).
5. Go to ucas.com and register. Please use the buzzword: Woluwe25
6. Mrs BAINES will hold an online workshop on completing the application and writing your personal statement on Tuesday May 21st 2024 from 19:30 to 21:30, open to everybody. If you are unable to attend this session, please send Mrs BAINES a message, who will schedule a second session in June if there is demand. 
7. When you have some idea of the course you want to apply for, go to UCAS Interviews with Mrs Baines (1).xlsx and sign up for your first online interview with Mrs BAINES. Note that payment to the school must be made before your first individual interview!

Detailed instructions on the application will appear under ‘Application Guide’ on the WOL UCAS 2025 OneNote from May 15^th  2024. There are general instructions also on ucas.com.

Please note Mrs BAINES’s deadlines regarding applications:

• September 30^th 2024 : for all Oxford and Cambridge applications, and all medical schools.
• November 15^th 2024 : for all others.

Remember – making an application does not commit you to anything, but if you want to keep your options open, don’t miss the opportunity!

Mrs BAINES will be offering one-to-one sessions on Teams by appointment throughout the summer. Do not leave your application until September. You are encouraged to apply as early as possible to prevent any last minute stress! S7 is a very busy year!
