From September 22, 2025 (activities and supervision)
Below you will find some advice to ensure that your childâs return to extracurricular activities goes smoothly:
- Check your childâs activity registrations.
Go to your Secured Zone to view your childâs registrations for the various activities. - Note these registrations in your childâs school agenda for the teacher and remind your child about them.
The nursery and primary teachers will receive a list of all the activities attended by the children in their class. Since the beginning of the year is a particularly busy period, we encourage you to remind your child of his or her participation in the activities as well as the location, which you can find in the activity program. - At the end of the school day
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
- If your child is in Nursery:
The teacher will take your child to the nursery playground where our team will pick them up and bring them to their activity/supervision.
- If your child is in Primary 1 or 2:
The teacher will take your child to the school canteen where our team will pick them up and bring them to their activity/supervision.
- If your child is in Primary 3 or above:
Your child must go on their own to the entrance of the Sports Hall for sports activities, to the Canteen for cultural activities and supervision.
- Secondary school pupils are invited to wait for their activity in the cafeteria of the Sports Hall.
- If your child is in Nursery:
- Wednesday
- If your child is in Nursery:
They will be picked up in their classroom by our team and accompanied to their activity/supervision.
- If your child is in Primary 1 or 2:
The teacher will take your child to the canteen, after which our team will accompany them to their activity/supervision.
- If your child is in Primary 3 or above:
Your child must go on their own to the canteen for lunch and will then be accompanied or guided by our team to their activity/supervision.
- Please check whether your child is registered for Wednesday lunch.
- If your child is registered with the OIBâs APPS:
Your child will be collected from the Garderie after his/her canteen meal and will be accompanied by our team to his/her activity.
- If your child is in Nursery:
- Friday
- If your child is in Nursery:
They will be picked up in their classroom by our team and accompanied to their activity/supervision.
- If your child is in Primary 1 or 2:
The teacher will take your child to the meeting point in front of the canteen, after which our team will accompany them to their activity/supervision.
- If your child is in Primary 3 or above:
Your child must go on their own to the entrance of the Sports Hall for sports activities, to the Canteen for cultural activities and supervision.
- If your child is in Nursery:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
- If your child is attending an external activity (ice skating, swimming)
The buses transporting students to these activities will be parked at the bottom of the bus parking area and will have a sign with the name of the activity.
(Note: the Ice Skating activity will start on Thursday, October 9, 2025 and end on Thursday, March 26, 2026.)- If your child is in Nursery, Primary 1 or 2:
Their teacher will take them to the corresponding bus.
- If your child is in Primary 3 or above:
They must go on their own to the corresponding bus.
- Parents are kindly asked to pick up their child directly at the activity location (please note, no supervision is provided on-site after the activity. It is imperative that you collect your child immediately after the activity ends).
- If your child is in Nursery, Primary 1 or 2:
Pick-up of Your Child and Permissions to leave
In accordance with the access policy implemented by the school for parents picking up their children from the OIB’s APPS or APEEE activities and supervision, parents or any other authorised registered persons will be allowed to enter the school premises and collect their children directly.
For control and security reasons, these persons must carry a photo access badge. The badges are provided by the school at a cost of 15 euros per badge. Badges must be ordered via an online form, available upon request.
For children in Nursery, Primary, S1 or S2, each person authorised to collect your child(ren) must also be registered in your Secured Zone.
The pick-up of children after an activity or supervision takes place at the following locations:
- If your child is in Nursery:
Authorized persons may access the primary building to pick up the child directly in the supervision room from 16:30. Before this time, pick-up must take place in the entrance hall. - If your child is in Primary or in Secondary 1 or 2:
Pick-up will take place directly in the 1-2-3 Secondary playground. - If your child is in Secondary 3 or above:
Students in Secondary 3 or above are free to leave the school premises on their own after informing a member of our supervision team of their departure.
Please approach our staff present at the pick-up location (wearing an orange âPĂ©riscolaireâ jacket) and give them your childâs name.
Children in Secondary 2 or lower authorized to leave school alone
In the absence of a digitalised system enabling you to indicate whether your child is authorised to leave the school alone, please send us an email with the subject “[Child’s name] – authorisation to leave” containing the following information:
I, the undersigned, [Your Name], parent of [Childâs Name], student in [Class] at the European School Brussels II â [Woluwe / Evere], hereby authorize my child to leave the school on their own at the end of extracurricular activities as of September 22, 2025.
If possible, please print this email after sending it and provide a copy to your child, so that he/she can present it when leaving the school.
Children Registered in the OIB after-achool care service (APPS)
Children enrolled both in an activity and in the OIB after-school care (APPS) will be collected and brought back to the APPS by the APEEE supervision staff.
In order to facilitate your childâs participation in extracurricular activities organized by the APEEE, the OIB reminds you that you must first enter a specific authorization in Kiddyweb for the APEEE. To do so, you must go to the file of each of your children enrolled in extracurricular activities and edit the authorization field by completing the three mandatory fields as follows:
- Last Name: APEEE
- First Name: Woluwe or Evere (depending on the site where your child is registered)
- APEEE phone number: +32 476 275 652
Validation of this authorisation may take up to 24 hours before the educators can consult it in Kiddymob on their work telephones. The educators of the European Commission’s after-school care service are not authorised to hand over a child to the APEEE if the APEEE has not been previously authorised in Kiddyweb by the paying parent.

General Reminders
- All personal belongings must be labeled with the childâs name.
- Provide a water bottle for each activity.
- Respect departure and pick-up times.
- Inform the extracurricular activities office in case of changes or absences.
We are happy to start a new school year 2025-2026 with you and hope you have had a nice summer holiday. In preparation of your childrenâs first day back to school, please find below information on the organisation of the APEEE Extracurricular Activities service.Â
From 3 to 19 September 2025 included (supervision only)Â
Supervision of extracurricular activities begins on 3 September 2025 and will be held in the canteen refectory for primary and classroom R100.27 for nursery.
Children in nursery, primary enrolled in Supervision (with or without an activity) may benefit from it for the days for which they are enrolled.
Children who are not registered for Supervision can also attend if a reservation forâŻOccasional SupervisionâŻhas been made for the desired day in your secure zone.
Please also check that your child’s registration is listed in yourâŻSecured Zone. If you have lost your password or forgotten your login details, please fill in the form (âForgot your password?â link on theâŻSecured ZoneâŻlogin page).
Finally, please note that supervision on Wednesdays and Fridays is split into two blocks: from 12:30 to 15:30 and from 15:30 to 18:30. If you would like your child to stay for the whole afternoon, you will need to register for each block.
IMPORTANT: Although we will inform your children’s teachers of their enrolment in our service, please also inform them of this enrolment through your child’s class diary.
At the end of the school day, how does it go?Â
- Your child is in nursery:Â
Your child’s teacher will take them to the nursery classroom R100.27 where they will be collected by our team and taken to their activity/supervision.Â
- Your child is in Primary:Â
Your child’s teacher will take them to the canteen where they will be looked after by our team and taken to their activity/supervision.Â
Supervision timetable
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 15:30 to 18:30Â
- Wednesday, Friday: 12.30 to15:30 and 15:30 to 18:30 (separate registration)Â
Any delay in relation to the supervision schedule will be charged at the rate for occasional supervision. You can notify the supervision service of your delay or other important information at any time:
o On 0485 04 81 96 for nursery.
o On 0489 34 74 79 for primary.

Extracurricular activities will start on Monday 22 September 2025.
Practical information on the organisation of extracurricular activities will be sent to you at a later date.
Picking up your child and authorisation to leave the premises
For children in nursery and primary, please indicate the person(s) authorised (brother, sister, grandparents, friends, baby-sitter, etc.) to collect your child after an activity or if your child can leave the school alone, in yourâŻSecured Zone.
- Your child is in nursery:Â
Authorised persons will be able to access the school to collect the child directly from the supervision room from 15:30 (after buses departure). Before this time, the child must be collected from the entrance lock.Â
- Your child is in primary:Â
Children are collected in the primary canteenÂ
- Your child is enrolled in APPS (Commission garderie): After the activity the child will be taken back to the garderie by our staff. Parents must collect their child from the APPS after-school care centre.Â
Please note that anyone picking up a child must have an access card:
The school is implementing a new access policy for parents picking up their children after the Commission’s after-school care and the APEEE’s activities. Only parents or any other authorised person registered with the Commission’s after-school care service or the APEEE services will be allowed to enter the school premises and collect their children directly from the activity room/area.
For reasons of control and security, these persons must have an access badge with photo. Badges will be supplied by the school at a cost of 15 euros per badge. Badges must be ordered using an online form, the link to which is available on request by email and only if you have children to supervise.
