Mikrobiom – wéi beaflosst dës on-siichtbar Welt eis Gesondheet?

Bérénice Hansen – Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB)

Location: Maison du Savoir, room 3.530

    Language: Luxembourgish

Souwuel bannend wéi baussend eisem Kierper lieft eng riseg Varietéit vu Mikroorganismen, déi kollektiv als Mikrobiom bezeechent ginn. Et handelt sech ëm Bakterien, Pilzen, Viren an aner Mikroben.

A sengem Virtrag gëtt d’Bérénice Hansen en Iwwerbléck iwwer de mënschleche Mikrobiom a seng Roll, wéi et am Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine vun der Universitéit Lëtzebuerg studéiert gëtt a wéi en Afloss op d’Gesondheet a Krankheeten kann hunn. Sie presentéiert Beispiller aus rezente Fuerschungsstudien z.B. iwwert:

    • wéi d’Aart a Weis wéi mir gebuer ginn, d’Entwécklung vum Mikrobiom bei Puppelcher beaflossen,
    • wéi eng Kombinatioun vu Mikroben an Ernährung d’Entwécklung vu Krankheeten beaflossen, an
    • wéi mir Afloss op de Mikrobiom kënnen huelen fir gesond ze bleiwen.

What is public history and what impact does it have on society? &
Presentation of the Master in Digital and Public History

Thomas Cauvin – Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C²DH) and Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences (FHSE)

Location: Maison du Savoir, room 3.010

    Language: French

Initially defined as history that flourishes outside the classroom, public history comes to life through a veritable mosaic of media such as websites, social networks, exhibitions, tours, documentaries, comic strips and many others. Embracing venues such as museums, libraries, streets and virtual exhibitions, public history seeks to transcend the traditional boundaries of learning, between the university and different audiences.

This dynamic approach to history is not simply a matter for academic experts, but an adventure shared with the general public. It actively encourages participation, aiming to forge links between universities, cultural institutions, decision-makers and various publics. Public history is not simply told, it is lived, explored and co-created, resulting in a stimulating and accessible dialogue that invites everyone to discover and contribute to our shared past.

    My success story – GoldenMe

    GoldenMe

Location: Maison du Savoir, room 3.330

    Languages: English and German

GoldenMe is an ASBL (association sans but lucratif = non-profit making) with the aim of preventing social isolation through digital training.

GoldenMe´s target group are people between the ages of 55 and 69 who are already retired or are about to do so.

The risks of phenomena such as social isolation or loneliness can increase with age. In addition, “best agers” often have more difficulties than younger generations in dealing with digital devices and using them for their benefit.

With the right digital training, “best agers” can keep in touch with family and the outside world with their devices, feel less isolated and more independent with regard to digitized services, use of smartphones and the like, access to information and much more.
