DESCRIPTION:\n\nDarkness Into Light Walk 10/05/2025🕯️\n\n\n\n\nThis significant event will mark another year in their global effort to support mental health awareness and suicide prevention.\nDarkness Into Light is an inspiring worldwide initiative launched by the Irish charity, Pieta. It brings communities together before dawn on a Saturday in May to participate in a 5 km walk as the sun rises, symbolizing hope and solidarity. This empowering experience has grown globally, and we are proud to celebrate its 8th year in Belgium.\nFor the 2025 fundraising campaign, proceeds raised in Belgium will benefit our partner, the Community Help Service (CHS) ( https://www.chsbelgium.org/ ). Since 1971, CHS has been a pillar of support for the international community in Belgium, offering a 24/7 English-language helpline that that is open to everyone, regardless of nationality or their circumstances.  Calls are free of charge, anonymous and confidential. The Helpline is staffed by a team of volunteers that is recruited, trained, supervised and supported by mental health professionals.\nFor more information click here.\n\n\n
