Information concerning the services on Tuesday 10/10/2017
As you know, a general strike is announced for Tuesday, 10 October 2017 which is likely to affect public transport.
The advice from our transport office, based on previous experience, is that we can run a full bus service on Tuesday 10 October since no major disruptions should be expected.
However, please be informed that some of our bus monitors will most likely not be able to get to school in the afternoon. As a consequence, we have to inform you that a number of afternoon buses will have no adult monitor aboard. This may result in some pupils having to leave the bus without supervision. Use of the bus tomorrow will be under parents’ responsibility. Please note that in case of accident or incident, the APEEE will not be responsible.
We therefore ask parents to take all the necessary measures (including, where possible, to come to the school and pick the children up after the lessons). In any case, it’s the parents’ unique responsibility to ensure that an adult be present at the bus stop.
The canteen will offer its normal Tuesday service.
Extra-curricular activities: only activities for which the monitor will be able to get to the school will be kept.
The team of the extracurricular activities’ supervision will take care of children whose activity does not take place.
We expect 10 October to be a normal teaching day, as it will be a normal working day in the European institutions.
